Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL-A Regional Truck Driver to run dedicated lanes from the Wharton, TX area. This role is built for drivers who value consistent miles, late-model equipment, and a predictable home-time rhythm. You will primarily operate along the Gulf Coast and Texas corridors, with occasional runs into Louisiana and Oklahoma. All routes are designed to keep you within a 500-mile radius of Wharton.
Minimum Qualifications (Strict Gate Requirements)
- Valid and current Class A CDL
- Minimum of 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL tractor-trailer experience (no exceptions)
- No more than 1 preventable accident in the last 2 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years
- Zero DUIs or drug-related convictions in the last 5 years
- Clean DOT physical and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Why This Role (Localized Advantage)
- Regional Lanes: Frequent runs on US-59, I-10, and TX-71 corridor, serving Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and Corpus Christi. Occasional loads into Lake Charles, LA and Shreveport, LA.
- Late-Model Fleet: All trucks are 18 months old or newer. Fully equipped with automatic transmissions, in-cab Wi-Fi, and advanced safety systems (lane departure, collision mitigation, and dash cams).
- Weekly Pay Scale: Target weekly earnings right around the $1,750 ceiling with a per-mile rate plus stop pay and detention pay.
- Home Time: Expect to be home 2-3 nights per week. Dispatch respects your Wharton base for reset and personal time.

Compensation & Benefits Snapshot
- Average weekly gross: $1,650 – $1,750 (based on 2,200+ miles per week)
- Mileage pay: $0.62 per mile (loaded and empty)
- Stop pay: $25 per stop after the second stop
- Detention pay: $20/hour after first hour
- Referral bonus: $1,500 per qualified driver referral
