Position Overview
We are seeking professional, safety-minded Class A CDL drivers to operate late-model, automated manual transmission tractors hauling dry van freight across the I-64, I-75, and I-65 corridors. This regional role offers consistent miles with a predictable route structure, allowing you to be home weekly while maximizing your earning potential. All equipment is under 18 months old, maintained in-house, and equipped with collision mitigation and in-cab telematics.
Compensation & Pay Structure
- Target weekly scale: Up to $1,750 ceiling based on verified experience and performance metrics.
- Average weekly miles: 2,200 - 2,500 (all dispatched miles paid).
- Pay model: CPM base plus per-stop, safety, and fuel bonus multipliers.
- Direct deposit every Friday with weekly pay statements available digitally.
Qualification Requirements (Strict Safety Gate)
- Mandatory: Minimum of 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL tractor-trailer experience within the last 12 months. No recent graduates unless 6+ months over-the-road experience is documented.
- Valid and current Class A CDL with no automatic restriction (or ability to pass a road test in an automated transmission).
- No more than 1 preventable accident in the past 24 months (regardless of injury or towing status).
- No more than 2 moving violations in the past 24 months (including but not limited to speeding, stop sign, or lane control).
- Zero DUIs or drug-related convictions in the past 5 years (no exceptions, including personal vehicle offenses).
- No failed DOT drug or alcohol screens in the past 3 years per FMCSA clearinghouse.
- Must pass a full DOT physical, hair follicle drug screen, and a road evaluation with our safety manager.
- Current DOT medical card and valid TSA background check (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
Equipment & Fleet Details
- Fleet average age: 14 months. All trucks are 2023 or newer models (Cascadia, T680, or comparable).
- 72-inch sleeper berths with 12V/USB connectivity, factory inverter (1500W), and APU for climate comfort.
- Automated manual transmissions (no manual shifting required).
- Tethered and untethered trailer tracking; all trailers are 53-foot dry vans with sliding tandems.
Routes & Localized Corridors
Regional freight lanes originating from Lexington, KY, with typical runs along:
- I-64 East/West: Lexington to Louisville, then toward Charleston, WV or St. Louis, MO.
- I-75 North/South: Lexington to Cincinnati, OH, or Knoxville, TN (with occasional runs to Atlanta, GA).
- I-65 South: Lexington to Bowling Green, KY, then Nashville, TN or Indianapolis, IN.
All routes are designed to keep you within a 500-mile radius of Lexington, with 85% of loads being drop-and-hook at shipper/receiver facilities. No touch freight. Average 2-3 stops per trip.
Home Time & Schedule
- Out for 5 days, home for 2 consecutive days (34-hour reset at home).
- Dispatch windows are Monday through Friday 04:00-06:00, with guaranteed weekend off. <li
