Class A CDL Tractor-Trailer Driver - Cleveland
Job Description:
Class A CDL Tractor-Trailer Driver – Cleveland, TX
Position Overview:
We are seeking a professional Class A CDL Tractor-Trailer Driver to join our dedicated regional fleet operating out of the greater Cleveland, TX area. This role focuses on consistent, safety-first freight movement across the Gulf Coast and Southeast Texas corridors, including high-frequency lanes along I-45, US-59, and TX-105. If you value modern equipment, predictable miles, and a company that treats your time on the road and at home with equal respect, this is your opportunity.
Why Drive With Us?
- Late-Model Fleet: All tractors are 18 months old or newer, equipped with automatic transmissions, collision mitigation systems, and spacious sleeper berths. You will never be assigned a truck older than the stated threshold.
- Localized Route Structure: Primary corridors include Houston metro, Beaumont, Huntsville, Conroe, and College Station. Occasional runs extend to Lake Charles, LA, and Shreveport, LA, ensuring you remain close to home base in Cleveland, TX.
- Health Blueprint: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on day 30. Access to a 24/7 telemedicine line, wellness coaching, and a company-sponsored fitness reimbursement program.
- Pet & Rider Options: Bring your well-behaved canine companion after 30 days of employment. Approved riders (spouse or dependent) may accompany you after 60 days, subject to orientation and safety compliance.
Compensation & Weekly Scale
Our pay structure is designed to reward steady, safe performance. The target weekly scale for this position sits around a $1,750 ceiling, based on a blend of per-mile and activity-based pay. Drivers averaging 2,300+ safe miles per week consistently reach this figure. No forced dispatch, no low-rate loads, and no games with detention pay – you are compensated for every hour you are on the clock.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years. No recent graduates, no student permits, no exceptions.
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean medical card and no automatic restriction.
- Must meet our strict safety gate requirements:
- No more than 1 preventable accident in the last 2 years.
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years.
- Zero DUIs or drug-related convictions in the last 5 years.
- Stable work history with verifiable employment references from previous carrier(s).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and a road test demonstrating proficiency in shifting, backing, and securement procedures.
- Comfortable with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and basic tablet-based communication.
Your Daily Routine
You will report to our Cleveland, TX terminal, located just off TX-105 near the Montgomery County line. Your dispatcher will assign you a dedicated set of lanes, and you will not be treated as a "number" in a large pool. Each week, you will run a mix of drop-and-hook and live-load freight, with an emphasis on predictable start times and low-touch freight handling. Average trip length is 400 to 600 miles round-trip, allowing for consistent reset time at home.
What We Provide
- Pre-pass and toll transponders – no out-of-pocket expenses for tolls or scales.
- Paid orientation at our regional training facility, including meals and lodging.
- Direct deposit payroll with weekly settlements and a per-diem option.
