Class A CDL Company Driver - Pocatello
Job Description:
Class A CDL Company Driver – Pocatello, ID
Join a fleet built for the long haul from the heart of the Gate City. This is a dedicated regional opportunity for Class A CDL drivers who value modern equipment, consistent miles, and a dispatcher who knows your name. If you call Pocatello home, or you are willing to relocate to the Gate City area, this is your lane to run. We are not a megacarrier; we are a focused operation that prioritizes driver retention over churn. Your time behind the wheel is respected, and your home time is protected.
Position Overview
As a Class A CDL Company Driver, you will haul dry van freight across the Intermountain West. Your primary corridors will be the I-15 corridor from Butte, MT down through Idaho Falls, Pocatello, and into Salt Lake City, UT. Secondary lanes include I-84 west to Boise and Twin Falls, with occasional runs east on I-80 into Wyoming to Evanston and Rock Springs. Expect a mix of drop-and-hook and live unloads at major distribution centers in Salt Lake City and Ogden. This is a no-touch freight operation.
Compensation and Weekly Scale
We target a weekly earning ceiling of $1,750. Pay is calculated on a per-mile rate with additional pay for layover, detention, and stop-off activity. The average experienced driver on this fleet runs 2,500 to 2,800 miles per week. For a driver who is efficient with hours of service and runs consistent legs, the $1,750 weekly ceiling is attainable on a regular basis. We pay bi-weekly via direct deposit, and we provide a pay stub that is transparent, with no hidden chargebacks or unexplained deductions. Your settlement is your proof of fair pay.
Localized Freight and Home Time
You will not chase freight across the country. This is a structured regional operation. You will be dispatched out of the Pocatello yard, and your rotation is designed to get you home. Expect to be out for five days and home for two full days (34-hour reset). Runs are planned so that your final delivery before reset is within a three-hour radius of Pocatello. If you live in Blackfoot, Chubbuck, Ammon, or Idaho Falls, you are in the sweet spot for this job. You are not a number here; you are the driver who backs into the dock at the Smith's DC in Salt Lake and the one who runs the I-15 leg to the Costco RDC in Butte. We know your truck, and we know your route.
Late-Model Fleet (Under 18 Months Old)
You will be assigned to a truck that is less than 18 months old. This is not a promise; it is a fleet replacement policy. We run a mix of 2024 and 2025 model year Freightliner Cascadia and Kenworth T680 units. All trucks are equipped with a 76-inch sleeper, APU, inverter (1500W), refrigerated cooler plug, and a 10-speaker premium sound system. The fleet is governed at 68 mph, and all trucks have automatic transmissions. We do not assign older "spare" trucks to dedicated drivers. If your primary truck is in the shop for more than 48 hours, you are placed in a spare unit that also meets the 18-month age requirement. Your comfort is not a privilege; it is a standard.
Health Blueprints and Benefits
Your health is a priority. We offer a "health blueprint" that goes beyond basic insurance. This includes a comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plan with a zero-deductible option for single drivers. We provide a $5,000 annual health savings account (HSA) contribution for drivers who enroll in the high-deductible plan. Additionally, we offer free access to a 24/7 telehealth service for you and your immediate family, which means you can speak to a physician without leaving the truck stop. We also provide a wellness reimbursement of $600 per year for gym members
