Class A CDL Company Driver - Winchester
Job Description:
Class A CDL Company Driver – Winchester, VA
Based out of the Winchester, VA freight lane, this is a dedicated position for a professional Class A CDL driver who values predictable miles, modern equipment, and a company that respects your time at home. We are seeking a driver with a clean safety record and a minimum of three months of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer experience to run consistent regional routes through the Shenandoah Valley, I-81, I-66, and into the surrounding mid-Atlantic markets.
Position Overview
You will operate late-model, under-18-month-old Freightliner and Volvo tractors equipped with automatic transmissions, collision mitigation systems, and full aerodynamic packages. Hauling dry van freight, you will move time-sensitive goods between Winchester, VA and key distribution hubs in Harrisburg, PA, Baltimore, MD, Richmond, VA, and Charlotte, NC. All routes are designed to maximize your weekly earnings while keeping you within a regional footprint. Expect an average of 2,200 to 2,500 miles per week with a consistent 5-day-on, 2-day-off schedule.
Weekly Pay & Earning Potential
Our pay package is built for drivers who want to earn at the top of the regional scale. Your weekly earnings will be structured around a target ceiling of $1,750 per week. This is achievable through a combination of a competitive per-mile rate, a per-stop pay component, and a weekly productivity bonus for on-time deliveries. Most drivers on this account settle between $1,550 and $1,750 weekly, depending on exact route assignments and seasonal freight volumes.
- Base rate: $0.62 per mile
- Stop pay: $25 per stop after the second stop
- Weekly productivity bonus: up to $150 for completing assigned miles with no service failures
- Safety and fuel bonus: up to $100 per week for maintaining above-average MPG and a clean inspection record
Health & Wellness Blueprint
Your health is your most valuable asset. We provide a comprehensive benefits package starting on your first day of employment. This is not a bare-bones plan; it is a full medical, dental, and vision blueprint designed for professional drivers who spend long hours on the road.
- Medical insurance with a low-deductible PPO option and a Health Savings Account contribution of $500 annually
- Dental and vision coverage at no additional cost for the driver
- Access to a 24/7 telemedicine line for non-emergency consultations
- Company-provided life insurance and a 401(k) with a 4% company match after 90 days
- Wellness reimbursement of up to $300 per year for gym memberships, fitness trackers, or health coaching
Pet & Rider Policy
We understand that your family includes four-legged members and that a second person on the road can make the job more manageable. That is why we maintain a liberal pet and rider policy that does not require a waiting period.
- Pets allowed after your first week of solo driving; we accept dogs and cats up to 40 pounds
- No pet fee, but you must provide a kennel and proof of current vaccinations
- Riders are permitted after 30 days of employment; the rider must be at least 18 years old and complete a simple onboard orientation
- All rider and pet accommodations must be approved by your driver manager prior to departure
Strict Safety Gate Requirements
Safety is non-negotiable. To maintain a culture of accident-free driving, we enforce a strict safety gate for all applicants. Please review the following criteria carefully before applying. If you do not meet these standards, we ask that you wait and reapply when your record qualifies.
