Based out of the heart of Central Illinois, this position is tailored for a professional driver who values a late-model fleet, predictable corridors, and a safety-first culture. You are not just a driver; you are the face of our cargo integrity. We run dedicated and regional lanes that keep you close to Decatur, with occasional runs into Indianapolis, St. Louis, and Chicago. This is a stable, high-mileage opportunity with a weekly earning ceiling near $1,750 for drivers who hit all performance metrics.

  • Localized Corridors: Primary lanes include I-72, I-55, I-74, and I-57. Typical routes involve Decatur to Bloomington-Normal, Springfield, Champaign, and Peoria, with extended runs to Indianapolis, IN, and St. Louis, MO. You will know your roads, your shippers, and your unloads.
  • Late-Model Fleet: All trucks are 2023 or newer, equipped with automatic transmissions, forward collision mitigation, and onboard telematics. Average fleet age is under 18 months. No pre-2019 equipment. Period.

  • Safety Gate Standards: We do not compromise. To be considered, you must have no more than 1 preventable accident in the past 2 years, no more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years, and zero DUIs or drug-related convictions in the past 5 years. A clean MVR is non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer, primarily 53-foot dry vans, across the specified regional lanes.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Report any mechanical issues immediately using the fleet app.
  • Secure cargo with straps, chains, or bars as required. No touch freight at most stops, but you must be able to handle minor pallet checks and paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and comply with all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
  • Communicate with dispatch on delays, weather, or route changes. We value proactive communication over silence.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL tractor-trailer experience. We will check employment history and DAC reports.
  • No more than 1 preventable accident in 2 years; no more than 2 moving violations in 2 years; zero DUIs in 5 years.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and a road test in a late-model automatic transmission truck.
  • Reside within 50 miles of Decatur, IL, or in the Decatur metro area (including Forsyth, Mount Zion, or Clinton).
