CDL-A Regional Truck Driver – Parkersburg, WV
Drive the Mid-Ohio Valley with Confidence
Based out of Parkersburg, West Virginia, this regional CDL-A position keeps you close to home while running consistent freight through the heart of the Appalachian and Midwest corridors. You will navigate the I-77, I-79, and US-50 lanes, with regular runs into Columbus, OH, Charleston, WV, and Pittsburgh, PA. Enjoy the stability of regional miles with the comfort of returning home weekly.
Minimum Qualifications – Strict Safety Gate
- Verifiable Class A CDL with a minimum of 3 months of tractor-trailer experience.
- No more than 1 preventable accident in the last 2 years.
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years.
- Zero DUIs or alcohol-related convictions in the last 5 years.
- Clean background and DOT physical required.
Late-Model Fleet – Under 18 Months Old
You will operate a late-model Freightliner Cascadia or comparable tractor, all under 18 months old. Every truck is equipped with automatic transmissions, advanced collision mitigation, in-cab Wi-Fi, and refrigerated or dry van trailers as needed. We maintain a rigorous preventive maintenance schedule to keep you rolling safely and efficiently.
Earning Potential – Up to $1,750 Weekly Ceiling
- Average weekly earnings scale targets $1,650 to $1,750 based on 2,200 to 2,500 miles per week.
- Pay per mile: $0.62 base plus $0.04 per mile safety and performance bonus.
- Detention and layover pay at $25 per hour after 2 hours.
- Stop pay: $35 per stop for multiple stops per route.
- Direct deposit available weekly.
Regional Route Structure
Your home terminal is in Parkersburg, WV, with dispatch lanes reaching 300 to 500 miles outward. Typical routes include:
- I-77 North to Akron/Cleveland, OH, with drop-offs in manufacturing zones.
- US-50 East to Clarksburg, WV, and Morgantown, WV, with retail distribution stops.
- I-79 South to Charleston, WV, feeding into the Kanawha Valley industrial corridor.
- Occasional runs to Columbus, OH, and Pittsburgh, PA, for backhaul freight.
You will average 5 to 6 days out with 34-hour reset at home each weekend. Dispatch respects your home time and plans routes to have you back by Saturday morning.
